G-VMP Standard design and start writing your newsletter in 30 minutes

With G-VMP Standard, you can write the first article of your new newsletter or magazine in 30 minutes after you unwrapped the CD-Rom containing the software. In these 30 minutes, you will have installed the software, designed the lay-out of your publication, defined the sections for your magazine. The XML storage of your articles allows to change the lay-out anytime later without having to touch the article content again. With G-VMP, the articles of your publication, the real assets of your magazine are stored as XML. The lay-out is stored separately. This has several advantages. First, they are stored in a readable text format: if you want, you can read them with any word or text processor. They are not locked into a proprietary format. Secondly, the lay-out is stored separately from the articles. The advantage here is that you do not have to change each article when you want to change the lay-our of your site. You go to the set-up menu, change the colour or any other parameter, and push the publish button. G-VMP works with menus and has a sophisticated easy-to-use editor. You do not have to follow a training course, learn XML or specific word-processor key-strokes. With G-VMP you can make a choice of a number of proven standard lay-outs. You have a choice of menus, and can decide where to put them, and you can choose the colours to be used. With the editor of G-VMP you can then start writing your articles. The editor shows the sections of your magazine. Pictures can be uploaded to the G-VMP repository and used in any article where they are needed. You can work on an article as long as is needed. You just set it on "publish" when it is ready. Then, with one push of a button, you publish the next issue. G-VMP automatically creates the table-of-contents and formatted versions of the articles. The back-issues are created too. G-VMP comes with a build-in Search facility. When finished, you can publish your new issue on a Web site, or send it by e-mail to your readers.
